Jeff Tracey discovered Brains nervously delivering a lecture at a cultural hall in Paris whilst he was searching for a brilliant scientist who could help him accomplish his plans for International Rescue.

As the inventor of all of International Rescue's dazzling machines, Brains is an esteemed and valuable part of the secret organisation. An incurable perfectionist, he is never satisfied with his creations and is often to be found endlessly modifying and tinkering with his machines.
